ABOUT
BROODKRAAL
Broodkraal Estate, situated on the banks of the Berg River just outside of Piketberg, Western Cape, was transformed into 552 hectares seedless, export table grapes from originally planted wheatfields. For an optimal production and water saving environment 495 hectares of the vineyards are covered with netting, and the remaining 57 hectares are to be covered in 2021.
Our grapes are packed and precooled on-site in our four modern packhouses, each equipped with MARCO scales for enhanced quality and production control. The Broodkraal dam with a total capacity of 9 million cubic meters, ensure water security for the harvest.
Permanent and seasonal employees are housed in a small town development, on the farm, which includes a large community hall, accredited creche facility and sports fields.
